Renny Blackwood#

Summary#

Renny Blackwood is Duke Tristan Blackwood’s nephew and manservant. Scrawny, red-faced, and sweaty from carrying his uncle’s reward pouch, with white hair and the look of a man in his late 60s. Source: 2026.08.11.

Notes#

• Delivered the party’s Crown Gauntlet victory reward from Duke Blackwood: roughly 1,500 gold split among the party plus individualized magic items (see Compete in the King's Tourney).
• Relayed Duke Blackwood’s invitation to visit his tent that evening “to discuss business”—not yet acted on by the party.
• Politely declined Cassian’s offer of a drink, citing “other matters to attend,” and left the empty reward pouch with the party at Cassian’s request before departing.
• On 2026.08.18, the party set out to find him again after Aldric was driven to exhaustion level 6 by the King’s Cup drinking tournament, hoping he’d know of a cleric who could help before the Menagerie bout—not yet resolved on-page.
• Granted the party an emergency audience with Duke Blackwood after they told him they had information he was looking for. Left a short good-luck note for the party at Holt’s check-in desk ahead of their Menagerie bout: “shorthanded on such short notice… best of luck don’t die.” Source: 2026.08.25.
• Rushed into the Ragged Flagon breathless and panicked after the manticore bout to summon the party urgently to Duke Blackwood’s tent. Source: 2026.09.15.

Relationships#

• Duke Tristan Blackwood: His uncle and employer.
• Cassian: Made light small talk with him; found him a good sport.
