Cure Aldric’s Exhaustion#

Status#

Resolved. Aldric won the King’s Cup drinking tournament at the Ragged Flagon but was driven to exhaustion level 6, functionally incapacitated—unable to move under his own power. He needed to recover before the party’s Menagerie bout and before any attempt on White Feather Tor. Source: 2026.08.18.

Father Caldus Vey, a Royal Chapel priest at the King’s Fair healer tents, treated him overnight with repeated castings of Greater Restoration (400 gp total, paid by the party), reducing his exhaustion to level 2 by morning; sleeping through the following day cleared one more level, leaving Aldric at exhaustion level 1 for the Menagerie bout. Odine Dunmere similarly cleared her own King’s Cup exhaustion to level 1. Source: 2026.08.25.

Known Recovery Options#

Per Cassian’s Medicine check (15):

• Natural recovery: 6 nights of long rest.
• Clerical care once a day: cuts recovery to 3 nights.
• Clerical care multiple times a day: cuts recovery to 2 nights.
• A rare restorative concoction exists but costs roughly 2,000–4,000 gp.
• A cleric or paladin could also cast (implicitly Greater Restoration) to remove one exhaustion level per casting, once per long rest.
