Investigate House Godrin#

Status#

Active, new. Following the confirmation that House Godrin—not House Oswall—is the white-armored house that has been hunting Jevon all along (correction made explicit 2026.08.11), the party is turning to actively investigating Godrin rather than only reacting to them. Source: 2026.08.11.

Known Details#

  • House Godrin competes in the King’s Tourney annually to harvest mana crystals, working with a dwarven clan in the Vale. See House Godrin. Source: 2026.06.23.
  • Their real target regarding Jevon appears to be whomever gave him his sending stone—plausibly Maralynn—rather than Jevon himself. Source: 2026.08.11.
  • Gruvelda Duskbelt revealed a concrete lead: House Godrin keeps meticulous ledgers of all their activity at an outpost on the outskirts of the King’s Fair. She would not confirm or deny whether she also arms them directly. Source: 2026.08.11.
  • Duke Tristan Blackwood fulfilled his promised intelligence on 2026.08.18: gave the party a sealed note listing names/locations tied to Godrin’s camp activity, which the party traced to the Messenger Tent at White Feather Tor. He separately reported House Godrin is unusually active lately and rumored to be kidnapping children; he personally witnessed them abducting hedge mages as a young competitor, and wonders what “frightened one of the most powerful arcane families in the Crownlands” into it.
  • White Feather Tor scouted (Odine, Perception natural 20): the front gate is too heavily guarded, but a sheer cliffside on another face of the hill offers a viable nighttime infiltration route. Not yet attempted. Source: 2026.08.18.
  • Blackwood’s note in full: White Feather Tor is the Godrin family camp, Eastern Tourney Grounds. Layout: Central Pavilion (Golstang, family business), Family Tents (private quarters), Arcane Pavilion (warded, restricted), Messenger Tent (correspondence/dispatches—the target), Training Grounds (Ronan Godrin frequently present), Supply Wagons (lightest security). Personnel: ~30 total, 6–8 knights (matte-white armor), 12–15 men-at-arms (white/grey livery), plus servants, messengers, grooms, arcane attendants. Security is much tighter after dark along the perimeter, but easier once past it. Named family members: Golstang Godrin (patron, central pavilion), Percival Godrin (mobile—pavilion/Everdale/tourney grounds), Emberlee Godrin (stays in camp, rarely alone), Valerie Godrin (regularly leaves camp—most accessible target), Ronan Godrin (training grounds).

Next Steps#

  • Attempt the nighttime cliffside infiltration of White Feather Tor — done on 2026.08.25 (via the gate pillars rather than the cliffside): Cassian and Azrith infiltrated invisibly, recovered a Godrin letter and loot from the Messenger Tent, and confirmed via letter and overheard conversation that House Godrin has located Maralynn alive. Godrin’s champion, Sir Thorin Cassavar (“the Crow”), was also identified.
  • The party fed Duke Tristan Blackwood a decoy name/location (Odine’s fabricated “Aerendyl Morath”) to protect Maralynn’s real whereabouts, which he’s floating through his own channels—outcome pending.
  • Decoy confirmed in motion as of 2026.09.15: House Godrin’s scouting party is now chasing the “Aerendyl Morath” lead toward the western fringe of the Thornwood Vale. Jevon has left Everdale for an outpost there to help distract or mislead them.
  • Consider approaching Valerie Godrin outside camp, since she’s flagged as the most accessible family member.
  • Locate House Godrin’s outpost/ledgers on the outskirts of the fair (may be the same camp, or a separate site—unconfirmed).
  • Determine why House Godrin attacks travelers on the road (raised directly to Blackwood, unanswered).
  • Determine whether Duke Tristan Blackwood’s suspected mole can be identified now that a decoy lead is in play.
